OKI 382 error code
Paper jam (output)
OKI code 382 indicates a paper jam in the output section: paper became stuck after the fuser, at the exit, or did not leave the printer in time.
What does this error mean?
With output jams, often only a small scrap remains at the exit rollers. It is worth checking the rear output too, if the printer has one.
What can you safely try?
- 01Open the doors and covers and carefully remove all jammed paper from the paper path, including small scraps. The area around the fuser may be hot; wait a few minutes there.
- 02Also check the rear output cover if your printer has one: paper may be left there.
When should you call a technician?
If the code returns even without paper present, call a technician: the exit sensor may be faulty.
Do you rent out or manage printers?
If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
