Brother 50 error code
Print Unable 50: fuser assembly fault
Brother error 50 (Print Unable 50 / Unable to Print 50) usually indicates a fuser assembly fault: the temperature does not reach or exceeds the operating range.
What does this error mean?
After the fault, Brother recommends leaving the printer switched off for a while, then leaving it alone for 10-15 minutes after switching it back on: this may reset the fuser state. If the fault persists, the assembly needs replacing.
What can you safely try?
- 01Switch the printer off for 5-10 minutes, then switch it back on and leave it alone for 10-15 minutes, even if the error message is still displayed.
When should you call a technician?
If the fault remains after this, call a technician: the fuser assembly needs replacing.
Do you rent out or manage printers?
If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
