Unable to Print 32: printhead carriage movement fault
Brother error 32 usually indicates a printhead carriage movement fault: the carriage does not reach its expected position. It is related to error 30 and is typically caused by an obstruction or dirt.
What does this error mean?
A scrap of paper left in the carriage’s path, friction from dried ink or dirt on the encoder strip can trigger the fault. Carefully inspect the area, then restart the printer.
What can you safely try?

- 02Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait a few minutes, then switch it back on. Some temporary faults clear this way.
