Kyocera C6020 error code

Fuser overheating

Kyocera C6020 usually indicates fuser overheating: the thermistor measures a temperature above the permitted upper limit. The printer stops immediately for safety.

What does this error mean?

Overheating is typically caused by a faulty temperature sensor or heating control. Because the fuser is very hot during operation, you should not investigate this fault yourself.

What can you safely try?

  1. 01Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait at least 10 minutes for the fuser to cool down, then switch it back on. Many error codes are temporary and disappear after a full power cycle.

When should you call a technician?

If the code returns, stop using the printer and call a technician. Overheating is a safety risk.

Do you rent out or manage printers?

If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
